MATTAMY 是个比MINTO 还糟的地产商。 它的特点是(1) 大房子造在特小的地上, 两栋大房子的间距只有1。50米,而且后院很短, 基本上是刚好达到OTTAWA市政厅规定的最低标准。 (2) 建筑材料也是选用最低标准。 我有个亲戚在市政厅的BUILDING PERMIT部门工作, 曾听她评论过。

买房的朋友要小心, 不能只看MODEL HOME, 要研究你的LOT, FUNDATION LINE 到 PROPERTY LINE 的间距, 房子四周的建筑, 公路, 未来规划, 房子的保温材料/管道材料/房顶材料/窗户材料/钢筋材料 等。

but they still the largest builder in ontario at least. i read a couple of comments from people in toronto. they are quite happy with mattamy.

their lot is very small but they are at least 20000 cheaper than other builder. besides, that location is good.

i know their upgrade will cost lot but their material not necessary cheaper than minto. you know they are the largest builders. maybe they just simply can get same thing but cheaper. i know they use cheaper stuff but who doesn't.....
 
Disappointed. The lot is only 82 feets in depth. This is the shortest one what I see from all builders.

"WideLot" 是Mattamy的注册商标,特点就是地宽而短,通常是45x80左右,和其他建筑商的36x100 的标准面积是一样的。 这种房子从前面看去比较气派,门面比较大,不像有的设计,看上去就是个车库,连前门都找不到。:D

看样子“WideLot”还真蒙了不少人。“WideLot”并不意味着Lot比较宽,Lot的大小没有“通常”一说,在Kanata,Mattamy的Lot是:36X82; 43X82; 50X82。 而其他建筑商则多为:36X100; 43X100 and 50X100.
 
The density of homes by mattamy should be 20% more than other communities.
 
至少, MINTO 所造房的社区环境还行, 公园,宽阔的路面都很好。

MATAMMY 可是什么都不行,没有什么公共设施,房与房间距巨小, 好多房子的门脸都是全PVC的塑料片, 一看就不是个高档社区, 将来的房子升值空间也不会好的。
