need help with Directx driver

hi guys,

i need help with Directx driver.

i bought a ATI Radeon 9600 XT video card two days ago,

and installed the software on the original CD, including

the DirectX driver on the CD. but i do not know the version

of the driver.

the software has a PC TEST function, so i ran it to test my

pc. however, one problem rose: it says that the Directx

driver is not installed properly.

i tried installing a Directx 9b from a pc game CD.

it still says the same result.

some of you guys have an idea?

ATI Radeon 9600 XT supports up to directX9 only.

but even when i ran the pc test immidiately after installing the

directx driver on the video card cd, it still came out with the same problem.

i do not understand.

把之前的驱动删了，装下面这三个，按顺序装

i know nothing about pc, neither hardware nor software.

download a newer driver from ATI web site for your system:

When you install the new dirver, it may tell you how to deal with your directX driver.

Try the directX diagnostic tool: dxdiag as follows:

Are all necessary DirectX files installed?
If necessary DirectX files are missing, you might encounter problems when you run games or multimedia programs.

To verify that all DirectX files are installed

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type:
dxdiag
Click OK.
Click the DirectX Files tab, and then look in the Notes box. If all DirectX files are present and undamaged, the Notes box reports "No problems found".
If the diagnostic tool reports that any files are missing or damaged, install the latest version of DirectX from Windows Update. To go to the Windows Update Web site, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Update.

Does reinstalling DirectX solve the problem?
