You need to check out the Traffic
Years ago when the area start develop, I went there to check out, the houses are nice ( the price is almost the same as in Barrhaven), but when I drive on the narrow country road -- River road, I know I will not buy a house there considering the winter traffic.
5 years later, the road condition have not been changed, with the community getting bigger, might be in 3-5 years from now, it could be changed, Though take a look at the map, there is not way to cut the airport to half to make another big road, so only way in/out there is still either by River road (in case getting wider) or go north-east toward Leitrim then head on Airport PKWY or Bank st.
As for Barrhaven, there are 5 major road to get in/out--Prince of Wales, Merivale, Woodroffe, Greenbank, HY416. Unless you don't need to met the regular working schedule.
