Overall Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for all phases of development including research, planning, design, coding, testing, and documentation.
Specific Responsibilities
• Design and implementation of embedded systems software components using a mixture of C and C++ language and design techniques.
• Unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of software components.
• Documentation throughout the entire development cycle including high-level specifications, requirements, and design descriptions, detailed implementation specifications, and test plans.
• System integration of software and hardware components including troubleshooting and hands-on operational testing.
Specific Skills
Must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline with solid software development background
• Minimum 5 years experience developing embedded applications in C and C++, with demonstrated hand-on coding and debug skills.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving and thinking out-of-the-box to achieve winning solutions
• Experience with VxWorks and the WindRiver Tornado development environment
• Experience in the development of real-time and time-critical software
• Embedded / real-time / multi-tasking / multi-threaded design and implementation
• Fluent with source code repository and versioning tools (CVS, Visual SourceSafe)
• Proactive, well organized, team oriented and customer focused
• Focused on team objectives in a fast paced, product development and deadline-oriented environment.
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with video processing
