想请问这里的妈妈们是如何处理宝宝的脐带血? 有申请储存的吗?

我们刚刚申请了要存。找的是cells for life。 因为朋友的朋友经过研究和权衡后，就是在他们那儿存的。我们图省事，最近没做功课，知道他们在那儿存的，就直接找的他们。另外他们提供中文服务，方便一些。
初期的处理费用要1200左右，以后每年115刀。

当时我们想捐献脐带血给Alberta Cord Blood Bank的，但是知道的时候已经超过了34周，所以没用上。

I find some company their price is cheaper than cell for life, is has any different?Thank you!

My due day is in this week, so I havn't finished yet. About the prices,I really don't know more info about their differences. I even didn't contact with other companies. But from my friend's friend, if you add all the fees on different items together, the total differeces are not too much, should around $100.

After you register, they will send you the kit by courier. All the info. and stuffs for blood collection you will find in the kit including the phone # and service time of all couriers.

You don't need to contact with doctor, because your doctor may not be on duty during your delivery. Call the hospital to make sure if they charge any fees for the cord blood collection. I will deliver in Queesway Carletion in Ottawa, they don't charge any fees.

我们家没有存，记得当时也曾向医生请教过这事，说是如果家族史上没有重大病症，需要使用的机会应该不大。当时也没有进一步做功课，就决定不存了。
