Description: Responsibilities:
The FPGA Designers will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of a variety of FPGA-based digital circuits the meet the required specifications. Responsibilities will include requirements generation, VHDL design, FPGA design, module design, simulation, verification, test generation and integration.
Qualifications:

Title: Embedded Software Designer
Description: Responsibilities:
The Embedded Software Designer will implement embedded firmware using C and assembler on PowerPC and PIC microcontrollers. He/She will work closely with other teams on system integration and validation. Will maintain existing code base and produce design documentation.
Qualifications:
* BSEE or BSCS required;
* Must have 4-6 years of embedded software experience;
* Must have experience with ARM microcontrollers;
* Experience with QNX Operating System, or equivalent, is required;
* Must be very comfortable in a lab environment and be knowledgeable in the use of common lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, DMM, etc.);
* Work experience with wireless communication systems an asset;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must be eligible for a Secret Security clearance (may require 10 years of Canadian residency).

Title: Composites & Materials Specialist
Description: Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Design Engineering Manager, Personal Protection Systems, the Composites & Materials Specialist will be an expert in the knowledge and application of composites for head gear, garment and tool design for personal protection products. The successful candidate will also demonstrate expertise in the application of alloys and textiles for personal protection products.
The incumbent will research, evaluate, recommend and source new and existing commercially available composites, alloys and textiles for Med-Eng product applications. Through quantitative analysis and modeling, he/she will also predict implications of materials selection in different operational environments and anticipate issues that may arise due to environment or extended use.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelors Degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent;
* A minimum of eight (8) years of experience;
* Previous experience in the application of composite materials, alloys and textiles for personal protection products;
* Knowledgeable in stress-strain analysis and dynamic response of materials under impulsive loading; other types of impact, resistant types of material tests;
* Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of materials, engineering properties, research & test methodologies; hands on and ability to understand and interpret;
* Demonstrated ability to manager multiple projects and meet tight deadlines;
* Demonstrated ability to interact with industry members;
* Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
