开车去美国需什么证件[问题]

加拿大公民身份开车去美国，持公民证就
足够了吧？是否需要护照？
儿童持加拿大出身证也就可以了？

上个月开车去只是出示了公民证和驾照，没有问题；但是印象中好像就最近实施新政策了，需要护照

he asked for passport, so I gave
him my passport with my question "Do I
need passport for ground travel?" No
answer for this question in the end.

My understand, you'd better prepared
to aviod any complication.

For me, next time I travel, just give him my passport. It is easy and simple.
