Not sure this is the case; I checked some of the diamonds in China, they are expensive and poor quality.

Cheap labor doesn't mean you can buy diamond for less.

Most diamonds are cut in Israel, you know the 4 Cs I hope, that's color, cut, clarity, Carat.

From my experience , best way to buy diamond is from small jewelry shops, there is one close to Somerset and bank and one at Somerset and Rochester. They sometime have trade-in diamonds and you can get a good bargain.

You can get a good 1 carat diamond usually cost around $10,000. A 0.5 carat diamond of good quality and cut costs about $3-4K.
