Post graduate work permit 为何只有一年，而非两年？

我几个月前刚毕业，所有要求均满足。但CIC 只给我一年的work permit. 打电话到Quebec的接待处（Manitoba的CIC 从不对外界开放），一位女士告诉我我符合两年工作签证的条件，但不知为何CIC 只给我一年。我可以写信去问，但结果不会变。请问谁有什么建议吗？ 谢谢。

Sometimes they make mistakes. You can extand it by the end of the first year. Is your passport valid for two more years? If so, you can even try to extend it now. Just state your reason.

三大城市只有一年,还有的一年的专业也只给一年工签.还要看你的老板开信怎么写,如果是合同工的一般就是一年一年的开.

如果你是第一次申请工签，三大城市以外的工作移民官会酌情给你工签时间的，不一定一定是两年，如果是一年的，一年之后如果你还在工作，是可以续签的。移民局规定，三大城市以外工作签证时间为两年，三大城市以内工签时间为一年，总的最长工签时间为两年。如果你已经拿到一年工签了，不要立刻再发申请试图拿两年的。他们会认为你这样做有其他目的，多数是不会签给你的。以上都是移民官说的。

If you currently hold a one-year post-graduation work permit and you meet the eligibility requirements for a two-year permit, you can apply for a one-year extension of your work permit.
