Anyone knows the best rate for saving account or GIC for a year? for both Canadian and Us $$

Scotiabank has a CAD saving a/c named Money Master, the rate is 3%, you can use the money anytime you want. For GIC, it depends how much you deposit and whether it is cashable or lock-in. For more info, call 斑竹:glowface:

pcfinancial has the best so far. 4% I think.

scotiabank前些年推出3%利息的money master账户时还挺吸引人，定期利息，活期性质，但是现在各家都有，scotia逆水行舟了。
ING direct是saving 3.5%，GIC 4%，但曾经出过4.25%。
PC financial是saving 4%。
Royal bank也是saving 4%。
