Title: Trade Settlements Administrator
Business Area Securities Administration & Operations
Position
Receive instructions and match to broker input / instructions
Verify information for completeness and accuracy
Ensure all trades are updated with appropriate fail code
Manually settle on CMS all trades not interfaced
Update Fail codes prior to settle date
Remove unsettled instructions and pass to Cash teams for follow up
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Post-Secondary education
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset
1-3 years of work experience within the securities industry
Excellent numerical data entry/keyboarding capabilities
Demonstrated ability with CMS and CDS systems is an asset
CIBC Mellon's Values and Core Competencies especially in:
"Interpersonal" including excellent oral and written communication skills
"Respect" including demonstrated time management skills to work within deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
"Teamwork" achieves results by working effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills
Demonstrated organizational skills
