I landed in Canada in Feb, 2001 and I came back to china early this June BEFORE the new Immigration law took affect, and now it's Dec, I've been staying outside Canada for 6 months and will go back next month, my question is when I'm at Vancouver customs and immigration, will the officer judge my stay in China with old law or new law?
If with old law, since I've stayd outside Canada for over six months, I can be denied to go back, but with the new law, I spent less than 2 years out of 5 years outside canada, I should be let in.
Is there anyone who can kindly give me any clue, thanks a lot!
