where to donate cord blood in Ottawa?

I will deliver my baby soon and I'd like to donate the cord blood to some medical agency since cord blood is so useful and it could even save someone's life. I called Ottawa Public Health and the hospital, they could not find any local medical agency who will accept cord blood donation.

Anyone could help me find a medical agency in Ottawa? Thanks

I've only heard that you may collect cord blood for your baby's own good, that is to say you may save it in cord blood bank (somewhere) for future use.

I have found that there is only one public cord blood bank in Alberta. Everybody can benefit from the bank.
Unfortunately, the registration must be made before 34 weeks pregnancy. Too late for me.
