Muslim Summer Festival
Are you wondering what Islamic culture is like?
Do you want to be part of an experience that showcases cultural exhibitions, traditional clothing and cuisine, as well as Islamic entertainment and children’s games and activities?
Then you will not want to miss the annual Muslim Summer Festival:
Date: Saturday, August 4, 2007
Time: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Location: Britannia Park (Carling Avenue and Pinecrest Road)
Admission and parking are free. The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) organizes the festival and they hope it will promote greater understanding and appreciation of the culture among fellow citizens in Ottawa. The association expects several dignitaries, special representatives of the Muslim community, as well as members of the media to be among those attending the festival. There will also be representatives from Ottawa Police Service, Fire Services and from Ottawa Public Health.
In previous years, there were more than 700 participants in the Muslim Summer Festival, and this year, more than 1,000 attendees are expected.
