These moon-cakes are imported by a company (Sun Wah) in BC, Canada. It does not specifiy the origin of the moon-cakes, although the package mentions Macau Moon-Cakes. Thus, I hope it is made in Macau, otherwise, it is made in China.
Even though the package mentions "Macau Moon-Cakes", it doesn't imply that the cakes were made in Macau. For example, if someone made some cakes in Ottawa and sold them as Hong Kong Moon-Cakes, did it imply that they were made in Hong Kong (China)? No, I don't think so.
As I metioned in my previous post, there was no product origin information in the package.
How do you know they are made in Macau?
P.S. I have no problem whether the cakes are made in Macau (China) or Mainland (China). I felt that the manufactory cost would be more expensive if they were made in Macau (China) than Mainland (China). On the other hand, it is a good value (only $10.xx) if the cakes are made in Macau.
