Under your standard package, Rogers High Speed only provides one IP address. And this IP address is bound with the MAC address of the network card in your PC. So, you can share this high speed connection by simply using a hub.
In this case, you have two options if you really want to share this high speed connection:
1. Order additional IP address(es) from Rogers. Each IP address will cost you $10 /month extra. That allows you use your existing hud to share the connection. I remember you can have up to 4 IP addresses in one account. But pls verify with Rogers.
2. Purchase a router or have a PC with application working as router to perform the function so called NAT. Actually, Windows2000 and xp has that function embedded in the Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). So you can share the high speed connection with one IP address with as many PCs as you like, as long as there is unused bandwidth. In that configuration, you don't need order additional IP address from Rogers and you don't even to contact Rogers. You are bound with the customer agreement, which prohibit you from reselling your high speed connection. But sharing within family and friend is generally acceptable and allowed.
