For those who send their child/children to a homecare...
My child attends full day school and spends only few hours at the sitter during school days. However, she requires full day care on PD days and in summer. The rate is $15/day for the part-time and $40/day for a full-day.
Question 1: for the statutory holidays (eg: easter holidays, labour day, x'mas, ...a total of 10 days in a year), do I pay the sitter based on $15 or $40 a day? or does it depend on when the statutory holidays happen? eg:during school days or during summer vacation?
Question 2: the sitter is entitled to 10 days of vacation pay. Is this a fair number Is it going to be based on $15 or $40 a day? the vacation will most likely be taken during summer when school is not running.
