Good point. Although living near to a glof course doesn't prevent you from getting a car accident.

I heard that some of the golf course places in ottawa (might be in Carlton Place) have this problem. If you want more info, you could check it from internet.

I read from newspaper a while ago, and it was said that the pollution near Golf Course is actually high due to the large amount of pesticides used to make the lawn green. Off course the view is good. So everything has two sides.

I don't understand why we chinese are so pessimist about life while westerners know how to enjoy their life. We worry just about everything, from children education to the air we breath, the food we eat, and even the place we live! If living near a golf course is not ideal to you, think about people living in big cities (Shanghai, NY, Tokyo...) and tell me which place you'd rather live in.

Of course there's always a trade-off in life, nothing is a perfect fit for everyone. Our worry of pesticides at golf courses is equivalent to worries in cordless phones, microwaves, radon gas, tap water... then we might as well grow our own veggies and fruits and forget the meats..

Look at the bright side of life, enjoy the golf course view! By doing that your chance of getting cancer is already lower than those who worry just about everything everyday..:-D

No one want to buy a house if it threats the lifes of their family. Western might be very brave and 视死如归. But if you have choice and this info, I thought it would be better for you and your family if you can conside it before you make decision.

I just mentioned the pesticides issue near the Golf course. There was nothing about whether I should look the bright side of the life or not. This article was written by a western author, not by a Chinese.

The Chinese are concerned the living conditions, so are the western people!
