protection plan for wood furniture

Is it good to buy warranty for wood furniture? The salesman desperately recommended five years warrantty to us. The harder he recommend, the more hesitate I am. Anyone has the experience with the protection plan, thanks!

I bought the five years warranty for my leather sofa from the Brick. 2 months ago, one piece leather of my sofa was broken. I conntacted with the Brick many times. Only one person came and had a look. Then, nothing else has been done till now.

How long have you been using the sofa before the leather was broken? Did the person who came to have a look at it said that they may replace you with a new one? Leather broken is a big quality problem.

Extended warranty is not even recommended for cars. Don't waste your money on it. If you have money, spend it on brand name furnitures, rather on useless warranty plans.
