You can go and take a look for yourself. They usually have open house days or schedule a tour with the school. I went to a Montessori school down my street and I was quite disappointed about their toddler program. The traditional Montessori only offers the Casa program, which is for children aged 3-6. The toddler program is really just a daycare, each Montessori operator might use some Montessori materials like puzzles, books and toys but it really depends on each school and each teacher.
The problem with the school I visited was that they simply cannot get qualified personnel. The teacher assigned to the toddler program simply went on ONE training session, she is NOT CCMA or AMI certified, I don't understand how she could claim that she's a Montessori educator! This just shows how different each school could be, and you really need to see it for yourself to be sure that you are paying for what it's worth. I was NOT impressed.
