Here’s a neat new perk from Shopper’s Drug Mart; if you have an Optimum card you can get free travel insurance on short trips out of province. Here’s how they explain it: “As a Shoppers Optimum Member, you [and your family when they travel with you] get complimentary insurance coverage provided by Desjardins Financial Security for the first three days of any trip of 3 days or less taken outside your province of residence. It covers Emergency Health Care, Accident, Trip Cancellation and Baggage Loss.”
