Canadian Tire Financial Services is currently offering 5.50% high interest savings rate (on balances up to $100,000) for the first 90 days on newly opened high interest savings accounts. This is an extra 1.5% compared to their regular rate of 4.0%. When opening a new account, you will also receive bonus Canadian Tire money. There don’t appear to be any catches besides the actual need to start a high interest savings account, so this looks pretty nifty. That, and this deal isn’t open to Quebec residents.
