I don't know about his one, but I visited another montessori 学校 before that has a lower 收费, and I kinda figured out why.
First of all, there's no regulation on having the name "Montessori", so it doesn't have any guarantee on the teachers' qualification or the school's regulation.
In Ontario, there are two types of licensed childcare facilities (1. daycare, 2. nursery). To get a license for daycare is a lot harder than nursery because the requirements are very strict (ie. how much indoor/outdoor space per kid, playground, room size, windows, private sleeping space, washroom, kitchen facility, and a lot more ..). However, daycare license allows the school to run a full time program while nursery license only allows the school to run short programs.
Thus, I found some childcare/schools are actually holding a nursery license, but they run a full time program (like daycare) by calling it "extended drop off and pickup". Or, some schools will break down the full day into two programs and ask you to enroll to both programs and pay extra for a "optional lunch and snack", so your kids stay there whole day.
That means, the "real" program is just like 10am - 3pm, but if you pay a bit extra, you can drop off the kid earlier at 8am and pick him up later at 5pm. During that "extended" hours, the montessori teachers are not present, and there's only a babysitter (usually non qualified worker) to watch all the kids in a small room.
For the other case, the programs run 9am-12am, and 1pm-4pm etc, and so if you pay for the optional lunch and afternoon snack, then your kids just stay there from 9am-5pm kinda like daycare time. For older kids, it might be ok, but the younger kids will miss their nap time for sure.
Terrible experience in THIS School
Terrible experience. I found that their principal locked out my kid in a dark washroom about half an hour. Her reason was my kid not obey their order of potty training. Ridiculous excuse. I withdrew my son from the program and the school immediately. Later, I met several parents in other school who had similar terrible experience in the SAME school and SAME principal.

Not recommend Little Scholars
On the Fallowfield Road. But in Ottawa, only one principal in all Little Scholars. The Fallowfield location is still "NEW" (opened several months only). That's why the principal always stay there. Hearfrom other parents who teir kids were in the program of Little Scholars, the other problem of the school is high turnover on their teachers. Some teachers work one/two months only, then leave due to high work load . In this case, their students always stay with new teachers. Definitely, no benefit to kid.

如果有其他选择，就不要到这个所谓的"Montessori"来. 我的小孩在那里半年多，至少见过15+个不同的老师。 还有，几个core teachers and the directors经常撒谎.
这个daycare 有三个点，Woodroffe 上有两个，Fallowfield上的是今年二月新开的. 他们都是同一个管理。我的小孩是在Fallowfield。
