EBay UK Banning All G1-Style Megatrons?

It is pretty obvious that eBay would have a policy against banning anything resembling a firearm from being auctioned off on their site, but now it seems that eBay UK is now banning all of the Generation 1-style Megatron figures.

A lot of auctioneers have used a loophole to go around the firearm resemblance by just showing Megatron in the figure's robot mode, but it seems that will no longer fly.

"Bumblerod" of TFans writes that eBay has told him that G1-style Megatrons are now filed under the replica firearms category regardless of how it is shown for the auction.

He also writes that two known cases of Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron auctions have been subject to this rule as well.

A quick search on eBay.co.UK for the search query "megatron" does not yield any results for any G1-style figures as of this report.
