I want to formart my Windows 2000. I tried to use Windows XP CD (Windows 98 CD) to format Windows 2000 by rebooting my computer, but it didn't work. Who has an idea to format Windows 2000 system.
If the partition is FAT32.
Boot up the computer with Windows 98 startup floppy.
In dos prompt, type " format c: " and press "enter"
note: you may have to setup the bios boot from floppy.
how big is your harddrive? get a windows xp sp1 or higher, boot computer enter bios, make sure it boots from cddvd. then restart computer enter xp setup. then you should be able to format from there.
