北大校友会圣诞联欢会通知

圣诞节来临之际，正是渥京北大人聚首一堂、互致祝福之时。

北京大学渥太华校友会将于12月15日假新近启用的加华文化中心，举办圣诞联欢会，届时将安排许多精彩活动，包括聚餐会(potluck lunch)、家庭才艺表演、交换礼物、小游戏、卡拉OK、最新动画片放映等。其间，神秘嘉宾扮演的圣诞老人，将给所有到场的孩子送上一份惊喜和圣诞祝福。

联欢会将充满家庭气氛。在此，我们诚邀渥京地区的北大校友，包括您的父母、家人及朋友前来参加我们的欢乐嘉年华！

您如确定前来，请于12月12日前按照以下任一办法登记：
(a) 发送电子邮件至：beida_ottawa@yahoo.com，请写明人数，包括携带幼孩的数目，聚餐菜肴名称、家庭表演节目名称、是否参加礼物交换、以及一个用于寻宝游戏(scavenger hunt) 的神秘问题；
(b) 登陆北大校友会网页并登记: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/beida_ottawa/database ；
(c) 致电：吴红雨 613-763-1566，马清华 613-270-3173，或肖碧芬 613-843-1506 进行登记。

活动当天，敬请每个家庭(学生除外)交纳5元以资协助。

另外，为发扬乐善好施的美德，本校友会将参加由Ottawa Food Bank，Ottawa Business Journal 和 A-Channel 联合举办的圣诞节期间Drive Away Hunger活动。为此，我们希望与会校友能够准备一些易保存的罐装食物，我们收集后统一转赠有关机构。

有您的参与和协助，这个圣诞假期定会安乐、祥和而值得回味！

时间：2007年12月15日，星期六，上午11：30至下午5：00

活动安排：
11:30 pm - 12:30 pm:登记、寻宝游戏、儿童手工游戏
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm: 聚餐会、交换礼物
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm: 家庭和儿童才艺表演、圣诞老人为孩子们颁发证书和送礼物
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm:卡拉OK、跳舞、播放动画片、打牌及其他娱乐活动。

1 Potluck Lunch:
(a) Each family needs to bring one main dish, or vegetable/fruit salad or dessert;
(b) For the family with more than 3 people, please bring one main course and one dessert/salad.
(c) Please ensure the food is nuts and kiwi free.
(d) The Association will provide drink and cutlery.

2 Family/Kids Show:
(a) Each family (including single person family) is encouraged to present at least one show, like song, piano, dance, martial arts, or anything that you would like to show off your talent.
(b) Each child in the show will receive a certificate signed by our president;
(c) Local artists are invited to the show as well.

3 Scavenger Hunt:
Each alumnus please send us one secrete question related to yourself (and/or related to Beida). For example, Yu told us that his parents and himself all graduated from PKU. Then the question sent to the audience will be" Whose family has 3 Beida graduates in 2 generation?"

The answer is obviously "Yu". We can print 20 questions like that in a sheet and hand out at the entrance. Some of the answers may be posted on the wall but you need to go find it. Some need to ask in person.

The answers will be released during the party and there are different prizes for the winners.

4 Gift Exchange:
(a) Please bring a gift of $5 to $10 value. Don't have to be brand new one. Something from your basement is useful and good enough as a gift.
(b) We will announce the rule how to exchange the gift. We promise it is a fun game.

5 Donation to Ottawa Food bank
Each family pleas brings some non-perishable foods and drop in the boxes at door.

6 DVD movie
