Kawai is one of the best pianoes that are made in Japan, which is the same as Yamaha. If the piano is higher, its quality is better and more expensive. The price ($4000) for 43'' Kawai piano is not bad if you buy from a dealer. Sometimes, you could find a used (and a better) Kawai piano from newpapers that is much cheaper.
Some information:
1. Kawaii is a good brand, it's a major competitor of Yamaha.
2. The plastic they are using is good, it's even used in their 9 feet grand piano.
3. Size does matter, 43 is a "mini piano", the sound board is half size, which means the hammer action is short in the keys.
4. My recommendation: buy a second hand Yamaha U1 or U2, or spend about 2-3k to buy a digital piano, such as Roland. (Ditigal piano with hammer action, not electronic keyboard with "hammer effect" or "weighted keys".)
Hope that helps.
The "Piano Sale" NepeanSportsplex is terrible. The dud is not honest at all. They trying to sale "Nymier", which is one of the worst piano (pinao buying guide gave it 1.5 star, where 5 star is the best). He will tell people "we will tune the piano, then ship it to you, everything will be OK". But actually pinao should set in buyers house for about a month (to get in the humidity and temperature) before it can be tuned. And that dud is in Kingston, if things goes wrong and you want to find him and his truck, good luck. I think they can only sell to people who didnot investigate, and trust whatever the sales people say.
