This is an album of my trip to New Zealand. This part only shows the South Island including Christchurch, the west coast and Dunedin.
The total population of NZ is around 4 million people, but only 1 million people are living in the South Island. The South Island of NZ is the heart of her agriculture industry. However, only east of the Southern Alps is suitable for farming. The west coast, due to its weather condition, is barely habitable. It is this reason that the west coast still preserves most of the natural environment.
Christchurch is the biggest city in the east coast of South Island with a population of approximately 400,000 people. It was the oldest city in NZ's history. Dunedin is a small city which assembles Kingston in Ontario. Most of the population in Dunedin are students of University of Otago, which is famous for its medicine program.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures. They're raw pictures that haven't been post processed. I haven't posted the pictures for University of Otago's graduation parade in Dunedin and the pictures from the North Island. I'll update the album once they're available.
