We've come across a couple of interesting offers from PC Cyber Canada - one very inexpensive ATX case, and one ultraportable laptop. The Micro ATX FK-611 Tower Case can be had for just $3.77. We placed a call to PC Cyber Canada and were informed that the case does in fact come with a power supply. The look of the case may be forgettable, but for under $5, that isn't much of a consideration. You'll probably need to be the Ottawa region to take advantage of this offer though, as shipping costs would probably put a damper on this deal.
PC Cyber also has an interesting product in the iDOT 7" ce260 Notebook for $499.00. This laptop weighs in at about 2lbs and has features the following: Via C7-M Ultra Low Voltage 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 7" 800x480 Display, 30GB hard drive, 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth, 4-in-1 card reader, 2 USB slots, a 4 cell battery, and more. This probably won't serve as a full blown productivity notebook, but it's ultraportable, and it packs some pretty good features into its small frame for a low price.
