最近我买了新房。在建造时我看到有些木材不好，包含了树皮。这样去掉树皮木料就细了，强度肯定小了。这是正常的吗？见图。谢谢。

this one is part of the truss structure, there is only tension in this, i.e. no pressure like the studs you show in another picutre under the window.
like the other reply, it is quite common like this in your house. FYI, most of the studs are either crocked or twisted as well, so if you want something perect staight and flush, you will have very hard time finishing a house framing.

I will assume that the house is at the drywall stage and the wood you are referring to is the studs. If you have not taken possession of your house yet you may want to point it out to the builder so he can fix it now – Or – you can ask the builder to write it down on the PDI form.

When you build a product, you always leave margin of error. Like according calculation 1inch concrete should hold that weight, but when you design it, you put 3 inch concrete there. It is used to cover the unavoidable error in material, workmanship and acting of god. Your wood problem is covered by design. So sleep tight, your house would be fine.

Just a friendly reminder - Read your signed agreement with the builder carefully, you may not be allowed to go into the house being constructed (even though you bought it, it is not yours for now) unless you put the clause in the contract, such as you are going to hire privite inspector to inspect every stage when your house is being built.
So the picture you took may not help you (even worse, it may put you in bad position) if the builder turns ugly...

Just a kind reminder. Construction site is always required to wear safty boot/hard hat/safty harness (if necessary). That is mandatory required by Ministry of Labour (MOL). The builders may be fined if anyone get into the site without any safty protection. That's why most of the builders are not allowed the future home owner to visit the site.
On the other hand, the property is still belong to the builder before the closing date. The future home owner should ask for the permit to visit the site, just like you go to other people's house.
If you want to monitor the construction quality, the best way is as 小宝妈 said, hire a inspector yourself.
