Please be advised that there will be an electrical power shutdown that
will affect the entire campus from Saturday, June 7th at 24:00 hrs to
Sunday, June 8th at 08:00 hrs in order to allow Physical Plant to carry
out some work in the Electrical Substation. During this time, there
will only be emergency electrical power to critical equipment on
campus. Building ventilation systems, lighting (other than emergency
lighting), and elevators will not be operational.
The Department of University Safety appreciates your cooperation and
understanding. Students and staff are advised not to attend the campus
during this shutdown period. The entrances to campus will be closed
and OC Transpo service will be suspended at 23:00 hrs Saturday.
Roadblocks will remain in place until daybreak and OC Transpo service
will resume their normal bus/train schedules on Sunday morning (June
8th).
The Department of University Safety offices will be open and will
respond to calls for assistance and service during this period at both
numbers 4444 and 3612.
The Department of Computing and Communications Services recommends that
all computers and printers be turned off at the end of the day on
Friday, June 6th.
