Chinese Community Briefing on the 4th Annual Executive Symposium on Photonics Commercialization

The 4th Annual Executive Symposium on Photonics Commercialization (Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel, Ottawa, Canada, Thursday, 5 June 2008) was a high-level international event that brought Senior Executives from leading photonics corporations together with high-ranking government officials to present their perspective on the commercialization of photonics. The briefing, which is about 80% condensed version of the Symposium, will focus on the photonics quality job creation in Ottawa region, associated with the most rapidly evolving markets and how photonics will provide solutions to problems of global economic importance, such as green photonics solution for global warming, and contribution to the life style modernization with consumer photonics, such as fashion photonics, art photonics, and photonics wallpapers.
High-ranking government officials will also attend the kick-off of the “Green Photonics 101” web learning system at the end of the event.
Before the event (2:30 ~ 3:00 PM) and after the event (4:00 ~ 5:00 PM), there will be two virtual exhibition booths presented to the event participants. The booth nuomer one is the “Advancement of Sciences and Technologies with better photonics”, where people from industry and research institues will be able to get in touch with the frontiers in photonics. The booth number two is on “Career advancement with New & better photonics”, where people from college and university, or who wants to change their career paths can get in touch the new job market information.
