I just bought Claridge's townhouse. The quality is very average, while the pricing is same as other builder. Following are the bad comment:
1. sound insulation is near to zero. Every room can hear the TV sound in level 1. Basement can hear TV sound the "best." Any sound from basement can hear 50% at level 1 too
2. low quality carpet under pad. The under pad wear off in 3 yrs, beside is lowest quality of underpad
3. no sub floor for hardwood floor. The hardwood floor in level 1 is directly lay on 1 layer of plywood on top of basement. Walking on level 1's hardwood floor can clearly feel the hollow sound, instead of solid floor
4. thin hardwood floor. This makes the floor with more hollow sound
5. Thin insulation in whole house. Not able to keep the heat in the house during winter. For my 1,500 sq ft house, the heating cost is $400/month. Please note my house only 7 year old
6. poor fuse box cabling. Not follow any structure cabling at all
The house layout is quite alright. No a lot of waste space for my townhouse. I bought mime because of location, not because of quality. I will not choose this builder if there are other better choice in the same location
