Please keep in mind

1. Are you a Rogers’s customer? If so, why do they need ID from you, they should have all the information on file. Otherwise how did they get your number?

2. They are the one who call you not the other way around, so they should ID themselves. You should make a call back, not the number they gave you. The 1-8oo number Rogers use for customer service.

3. You should only give out your Social Insurance Number (SIN) for government agencies, financial institutions, and legal purposes only. The law did not require us to provide our SIN for any other purposes (as matters of fact the government are encourage us not to give out our SIN). It is your right to say NO for that kind of request.

4. You should not give out your credit card number and or cheque number; they have your billing information on file. What reasons do they have to ask you again?

5. Go with your gut feeling. You already feeling funny about this, that why you post and ask. Next time act like most people do, JUST HANG UP THE PHONE.
