How do I send money to my mom?

May I have some details? Does that mean I send her my check by a mail and then she's going to use the check to get cash from bank of China. And how long does it cost?

You can send your mom a personal cheque by a regular mail. She then cashes it at a Chinese bank. It takes about 1 month to get the cash. There is also some services charge but I don't have the exact number. There is services charge too, if you send her certified cheque, money order or bank draft etc. Since your mom needs to show the cheque and her ID card to the bank, it should be safe. I've done in this way many times.

What should I say on the check? Just write her name? And if I send more than 500CAD, will they charge me more, I mean if they have different rate between <500 ,500-1000, >1000?

never hard of charge fees depends on different amount from check.
just write your mom's name in both chinese and english ( to be safe ).

or you can give me cash, I send your mom part of the money.

Go to your bank with your bank card, tell them you want to buy a bank draft(money order) of $500, you will be asked to write down the name of the recipient,they will issue the bank draft with your mom's name on it, the service fee will be $5 (any bank draft under $2000).

Mail your check as a "registered mail", it'll be safer.It's $9 + stamp fee.
