请教关于common law 退税问题(Marrage statue 变了,所以就得不到GST了吗?)

跟男朋友在一起一年了,从2007年2月到现在。今年4月份报税的时候把marrage statue 改成了 common law. 税当时退回来了. 可现在CRA 发信说我owe $295, 因为不能 "determine if you syill entitld to the GST/HSTC "

而且这295里包括2005,2006,2007的GST. 我不太明白,为什么我会owe government money, 而且我的marrage statue 是2007年变的,为什么会牵扯到2005年和2006年?

PS: 我一共收到了3封信,第一封是说我owe $58, base year 是 2007. 我回了信,说明了我们的情况。结果又收到一封信,说我owe $100 多, base year 是 2006. 我又回了信。结果又收到现在这封信,说我owe $295, base year 是 2005年.

请达人门帮我分析下吧。。。。万分感激:crying:

You might have been forgotten to mention the date of Marriage status changed in 2007 on your 2007 return. If your spouse earned more than the low income limit, you may not eligible to claim a full GST Credit based on the total family income. You can call this number and find out more: 1-800-959-8281.

If you forgot to mention the date on 2007 return, since CRA's computer don't know when your marriage status changed to common law, they may reassessed all your previous returns based on "common law" status, if your spouse happen to earn higher than the low income limit, you may have to refund all the overpaid GST credit that you received in the past.

Therefore, you should call this number to ask for more information.
