怎么录奥运会节目？HDTV

DVD burner？
带recorder的cable box？
好像还有带硬盘的DVD。

哪种比较好，或优缺点各是什么呀?各位IT大侠指教一下吧

最终目标是吧喜欢的节目录下来，以后随时在电视上看。

I know Rogers has the HD cable box with a hard drive can record about 100 hrs of HDTV. but it is very expensive, about $600, plus, I do not know what to do with the HDTV cable box I have...

录下来的HDTV节目只能留在硬盘上（加了密的），没办法弄出来。（现在或许已经有破解了？）

胡同同学，这要取决于你的节目信号来源。 你的电视是HDTV，不知你是否也有HD receiver？ 如有的话，不知你的receiver 是否带 PVR 功能。

个人认为买个外接 USB 大硬盘，将带有 HD （DVD quality） 的 节目放在 硬盘上最有效了（时间上，maybe 经济上 as well, in term of dollar per byte of data). 今后任何时候都可以burn 成 DVD disc.

胡同，不是每一个坑都要跳下去才知道深浅的。。。 HDTV is just 1080P, 25G for 2 hours play time, there is no way you can save it in 6 DVD discs ( unless you try it really really hard ) ...

听兄弟的，Go to Costco, buy a 99$ DVD recorder, AND buy some beer on your way back... happy ever after.

Rogers的HD PVR，有STAT口，可以外接STAT硬盘。但是：

1）你无法指定哪个节目录在哪里（内部硬盘vs外部硬盘）
2）录下来的节目是加了密的，除非你能破解，否则你只看到一个不知格式的分区。

我对Rogers 的receiver 不熟。 To me， all HD receivers shall automatically have PVR function.

Anyway, if yours does not, the easiest way is to have a DVD recorder (as suggested by 工农联盟). It takes both analog and digital sources as input. Your HD receiver shall have an compatible output interface to the DVD recorder.

好像 hdtv的信号是copyright加密过的, 用普通的录像方式不行,录出来的是乱码. 我以前用录像机试过,没成功.

For rogers, these channels are 5C=1 (this may change as I believe it can be set on a show by show basis) which means can be record only once. PPV channels cannot never be recorded, period. All other channels can be.
502, 506, 507,5 12, 513, 514, 523, 525(which is also 530), 532, 533, 534, 535, 540, 541.
