set your location to china plus the method above. it will turn your w2k into chinese one.

why?

but after I set botj of the location, menu and dialogue to PRC,
some chinese version software, such as ssreader 3.7, NetAnts, etc.
still can not show the chinese menu,
why? and how to fix it?

Re-install you chinese software after you make the changes, this time it will pick up chinese as the default language, you will get the chinese menu for sure. Also for some of them, you just need to change the default language to chinese, such as flashget.

Thanks, but unfortunately I tried ityesterday , it did not work.
TodayI try it again: what I did is:

uninstall chinese softeware
re-start pc;
then reinstall chinese softwares, such as netants, but chinese menu of these software does not show up
then restart pc again, now my win2K is chinese version, and all windows menu are chinese, but those chinese software menu are still 乱码？？why?

Open your netants, go to view -> language, change the default language to chinese, it is same as flashget. You don't need restart your PC.

BUt netAnts is just an example.

I have install NJCalendar and ssreader 3.7 and some others,
some of them have NO language option to chosse english or chinese.

For example: in ssreader 3.7, the menu and titles of all downloaded book in my persoonal libary are in mess-coding .

Any idea?

I have another problem for W2K:

I want to input chinese in W2k Professional, but when I try to install "Microsoft Global IME 5.02 for Chinese(Simplified)", It displays "Can not be installed in this version of windows". But I can't find other IME for W2K in Microsoft Website.

How to solve this problem?

Win2K has multi-language support, so you will get chinese menu for sure.
