they do not have much knowledge about price and gas, be honest, they do it for pay or commission. the company does not has own resource, how could they be able to sale cheaper? I did it before for my house without thinking, then they walked in my office again ask for doing the same thing, I will not do it this time, as I asked how could they be able to sale cheaper, I thought they own resource, the fact is not. their explanations just helped me understood and decided "not to do it". only company can sale cheaper only if that company can direct link to resource or someway own some resources.

They are electricity retailers. If you sign up with them, you will pay consistent electricity price to them during the contact valid year. Since right now, Ontario has electricity consumer price protection plan, the retailer's price is more likely higher than the protection plan's price. So it is not worth to sign up with them. Some retailers are not following the business legislation. It happened before that some retailer salesmen stole the customer's Hydro account number and inform Hydro distributor they signed up with the customer. It caused a lot of trouble for the customer. So if you do not wish to sign the contact, do not show them your Hydro bill.
For your info. Your electricity bill consists of four types of charges: Electricity, delivery, Regulatory, Debt retirement charge. If you signed up with a retailer, only electricity rates will be changed, other three charges will remain the same.
