拆装中央空调室外部分

家里的中央空调室外部分安装在后院的墙根底下. 因为想要铺地砖, 想把它拆下来, 铺好后再装上. 昨天给directEnerge 打电话, 他们居然要500元. 太贵了.

大家有经验吗? 自己可以干这活吗? 或者知道有别的公司吗? 谢谢!

There is coolant inside air condition. It you remove the outside unit. The coolant are gone. You have to refill it after reinstall and seal the pipe. The old type of coolant already stop production. It costs 100 more per lb. And by the law they can't release coolant in to air. They have to recover it. That is why it is a expensive job and Not DIY one. You can just raise the unit without disconnect the pipe, do the floor under it then put it back.

I think $500 is very cheaper if all included

Usually to install a new one, labor charge will be more than $1000, to take apart and put them back again, will spend more time than install a new one. if they reuse the old refigerant, there isn't refrigerant handle charge ( pay to Dupond? or similar manufacturer). and no new refrigerant cost.
Otherwise they won't make money, especially Direct Energy charge $100 for drive there( X 2). plus those cost.

What do you think?
So if $500 for all is very cheaper.
