<HTML>Hi all. I will move to Ottawa in the summer from Edmonton, Alberta. Here we can buy new car with only 7% GST. But my friend told me if I buy a new car here in Alberta I will not be able to get my car registered in Ottawa without paying the extra 7% PST within the first 6 months after my new car purchase. Is that true? If so, can I drive a car that is registered in Alberta in Ottawa? Do I have any disadvantage if I do so? </HTML>
