It's impossible for 5D2 to have 30 fps shutter speed. It must be electronic shutter (i.e. take samples 30 times per second). The CMOS sensor won't get any signal without power anyway. That means, shutter is not really necessary in DLSR. It's function is more like a protector to the CMOS sensor than a shutter.
DSLR is just like a black box. What users need to know is how to use it. They don't need to know how it really works.
