最近在网上看到一篇关于钢琴的文章，想和大家讨论一下。
作者Kendall Ross Bean据说很有经验，做过钢琴生意，对钢琴内部的东西和市场都比较了解，自己也会弹，特别是他比较了世界各国的钢琴，不管是新琴和旧琴。觉得这篇文章不亚于Larry Fine的Piano Book.

这篇文章是很长，很担心大家没有兴趣看完，所以分段贴了出来。本来想就大家都关心的问题分别讨论，比如新琴和旧琴的比较，美国琴，欧洲琴，日本琴，韩国琴，以及中国琴的比较，钢琴市场的整体分析，等等。既然大家觉得不好，那就改贴LINK吧。

怎么没有人讨论啊?

看了STEINWAY, YAMAHA, KAWAI的DEALER, 觉得还是YAMAHA U1和BOSTON的声音要好,而且是ALL WOOD的。STEINWAY最好，太贵。我的德国朋友还推荐PETROF的，他15年前买的，不知道现在OTTAWA还有没有DEALER了。

我儿子说他喜欢音乐, 我在DOLLARAMA给他买了个口琴, 他非常开心, 三天以后就扔了.
他说喜欢听音乐,但不喜欢演奏, 我从国内给带了个MP3, 200人民币, 他很开心,听了一年了.

You should fix your budget first then find the target model you want.

Boston is the economy brand of Steinway. Yamaha and Boston is major focus on mid class.

Also, "All Wood" is a must for every piano. I never seen any "plastic" piano before. hehe.

KAWAI和YAMAHA

好象KAWAI和YAMAHA为了争取市场，钢琴里的PLASTIC越来越多了。好在BOSTON，甚至ESSEX都是ALL WOOD的。STEINWAY保证十年内原价TRADE-UP ESSEX和BOSTON，看来很保值啊。本人不是太懂音乐，有没有买过ESSEX和BOSTON，声音到底好不好啊？

PLASTIC?????

Do not be fooled by people saying "PLASTIC"! Go check website to see what exactly "ABS" is in Kawai. I can not say it is much better than wood, but absolutely it is not worse and it's some features are obviously better than wood.

Most important is to play different piano to decide which is better for you and your budget.

Don't believe the trade-in deal, since you have to pay the full prince for the upgraded new piano when you trade in the old one.

The current instant discount $700 from Yamaha U1 is the best deal ever.
