I am not good at computer. I am using window 2000 at my desk computer. Every time when I open the computer i need to log on. I feel it is trouble and useless since it is a home computer. So I del my account (? I guess I did it, I del one file ). There is another one as "Administrator" but I dont know the password and cannot delet. So, today when I turn on my computer, my account name still appears on the screen and I need to log on, but the password does not work.
Are there other better method to log on except resetting up the system?
Thanks.

If your OS is OEM. The administrator password

could be empty. You may try it to see if you can log on. Please note empty means there is no password.Just type the username: Administrator then place cursor on the password then press ENTER.

Thanks, but it did not work that way.
I did not know OEM. My OS says it is based on NT, Win2000 professionals. Maybe I should ask help from Windows directly.

1. try to find the way to delete the file:sam under system32\conf of the windows installation folder such as using linux live-cd, putting the OS harddrive into another computer and so on.
2. try to find the tool to reset the password such as Offline NT pw & reg-editor, bootdisk
