不明白你的问题, 你是在找孩子跟你的孩子一起学习中文呢, 还是玩游戏呢, 还是一起读二战的书? 你是想你的孩子上GIFT呢, 还是不想呢,还是问学校给的特殊PROGRAM呢, 还是在问去GIFT班怎么搭车啊?

觉得你如果希望得到比较准确的回答, 应该先重新组织一下你的问题.
 
The following is what I know. You may want to confirm with school board's special education dept.
If you kid is identified as gifted, the board is obliged to send him/her to a congregated gifted class. If there is no such school nearby, then they will provide transportation to another school (for free up to grade 7/8).

in senior high, (Gr 9 to 12) I don't think you can get free transportation. and I don't know about which school to enroll.

我觉得楼主的前一部分内容是要证明他的son是gifted child,然后向下自然过渡到关于上gifted班的问题.但文章开头点题不明确,证明部分的引入又过于仓促.所以分段给分的话,楼主的文章可以有70分,整体给分的话,不及格.
 
如果能输入中文,用中文可能会表达得更贴切,问题也会更明确。

有人有实例证明,在这里读过天才班的孩子,最后读大学、读研究生、工作等,同一起长大的孩子相比,确实略胜一筹吗?

1。 英文词汇和阅读理解。 例如多项选择, 一个单词, 四个选择, 找同义词或 反义 词。6 年级考试 很多词我不会。 我儿89 分。

2。 数学 简单 他99分
3。 智商 有逻辑推理的题目 如:给3 个图, 挑出第4 个图出来。他99 分

99 意味着只1% 的孩子比他高。公校里只有5% 孩子上天才班。 我儿子小学里,天才班上就4-5 个中国孩子。

绝对不是天才班的孩子就比别的孩子强很多。

这里的小学和初中从来都不让学生跳级的 .....

我觉得让天才生跳级比上 gifted class 更实际。​
 
一切顺其自然。 能上就上, 不能上就不上。 将来他能读大学, 能自食其力,养家糊口就行。一直不觉得他是个天才。

This is purely related with hard working Chinese culture. Every parent wants their kid to be the best. Besides, most of Chinese immigrant are more or less very well educated. The parent's influence has made most of the Chinese kids have good marks in school..... ?? Good marks =??= gifted ??

My daughter was identified as gifted but I didn't really think so, in fact, the so called gifted program was not that much of a difference. She decided to go to normal high school.. but becuase of she's a hard worker, she did get 95% on her high school graduation. Even though now, I don't see her gifted side but indeed, her artistic side is relatively strong with high level of creativity. The bottom line is - hard working!

By the way, after so many years working in the society, knowledge is important but a balanced skill with good EQ is far more key to success. In fact, there are so many cases individuals with high IQ or highly gifted, they will also have the trouble side as well. Parent's attention and care is important, especially communication with them.
 
Gifted class is not "talented class" or "fast class"

It is a class with more interesting topics and the topics are usually discussed a little deeper.

Most students are just normal, but there are talented students in it. One of my son's former classmate in grade 3 is a good example of talented. He almost never played with other kids in recess for any sports or activity and my son told me he justed walked around by himself or stay around the sand area. I asked my son what he did then, you know what my son responded, "He must try to solve some math equations...". This lonely kid is ranked No.1 in his grade across CANADA for several consecutive years in kangaroo math contest. He is the only one I considered as talented within my son's gifted class.
