DD的英语有点麻烦，好郁闷[大家帮帮忙，好么？]
最近申请IB班，但是总有一件事耿耿于怀，就是英语。
才来了一年不到，心里没底呀。究竟能考多少分也没有把握。老师建议我找个tutor，但是既要会国语，英语又好，还有时间的华人DD不知道上哪里找。唉……好郁闷。
现在science,math,geography等科目都是exellent，但是对英语还是有一点后顾之忧，甚至还有一种对交谈的恐惧。我不知道该怎么办？
各位能帮忙想想办法么？介绍一下学英语的经验吧。

多看电视，没有事打电话(银行啦，)之类的，多和别人瞎扯。

去买东西的时候故意装听不懂，让别人重复。呵，关键之一，切记：

首先把自己的面子打下去。

In my opinion, u should talk to native Canadian as much as possible.

It is not good to study English from Chinese.



Talking, listening, reading in Engilsh, but not in Chineses!!!!!

No matter how many mistakes u have, u are using English.

Can not agree on this with you.

We study and learn English everywhere from all sources of people not necessarily from native Canadians.

The fact is that different sources of people have their own strength in English. It is true that we learn more in oral & spoken English when dealing with native English speakers even with our own children.
However, I remember clearly that my grammar strength still came from my earlier education back in China (not here in Canada).

In my view, learning English is everywhere, all the time, and trying & error process. Most of your points are cutting to the cheese especially this one: If you don't use it, you lose it.

Maybe, the good exercise for this DD is to try to post all his future web forum articles in English; and I am sure that all of us will witness the progress he makes when doing so since he has been contributing so many Chinese funny postings to this CFC site.

你在这里念高中啊？？因为我看到你说IB science,math,and geography,如果有science和geography,那你是不是上高一啊？(随便猜得)
其实也不用太着急，到第二年你会发现你的英语有进步呢。 慢慢来，这里英语其实(除了莎翁的)不难，不晓得你听力好不好，但是阅读量蛮大的。多抓紧时间，静下心来阅读，其实也不是怎么困难的。可是IB 的英语，(我不知道你说得是不是International Baccalaureate)的确是很难，而且essay多得人都快傻掉了。 不过，一来这里一年不到，其它都那么好， 应该能克服~~~~

if you feel uncomfortable to talk to your classmates or friends, you might need a tutor, sort of like an ESL teacher. the only thing you need to do during the ESL class is to talk as much as possible. it is just chatting. you will be fine~~~
by the way, if you think your English is not that well, you'd better not come here and chat so much~~~
