To help students get on campus during the OC Transpo strike, Carleton University and the Carleton University Students’ Association (CUSA) are continuing to partner to offer shuttle bus services. To board these buses you will be required to show your Carleton University ID card.
Shuttle buses are leaving from the following locations. Please visit the CUSA website at CUSA Homepage to view maps of each location to ensure you are waiting for the shuttle in the correct location.
- Bank Street and MacLeod Street (at bus shelter near gas station): pick up roughly every 30 minutes
- Meadowlands and Merivale (in the parking lot near the ScotiaBank): pick up roughly every 45 minutes
- Southkeys Mall (near the Second Cup and O-train station): pick up roughly every 30 minutes
- Place d’Orleans area (in the Loblaws parking lot): pick up roughly every hour
The above shuttle buses will run from 7:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 6:00-11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Each route has one bus and delays may happen due to traffic and weather conditions.
Additionally, students can use the Carleton/uOttawa shuttle bus service. For more information, including the most up-to-date timetable, please visit: carleton.ca/infocarleton/shuttle_bus.htm.
NEW: All four post secondary institutions have joined forces in order to ensure that students are able to attend classes. The institutions have agreed to link their respective shuttle services to allow students from one institution to ride the shuttles of another institution, space permitting. There is one additional shuttle that may be of interest to Carleton students and that is a bus from Southkeys to Algonquin College that stops near Carleton University. If you are going to Algonquin or the Kanata region, this stop is at the north side of Baseline at Prince of Wales. You will need to transfer buses at Algonquin to continue to Kanata.
These limited shuttle services are in no way replacements for OC Transpo, and students are still encouraged to find other modes of transportation to and from their respective schools.
For more information on the shuttle services please refer to each institution’s website:
