how to input chinese in windows XP

I want to buy a note computer. I need to input and read chinese
a lot. Can I install Chinese office 97 in English window XP
and English windows 2000? How can I input Chinese? Anybody who
has the experience give me a hand please.Thank you.

download a HWJ software from http://www.hanwj.com/ It's a great chinese charactor input SW.
If you want to input the chinese in WIN Word2000, you can run HWJ. Open WIN WORD2000, click
Format ->font. Select SunSim or SunHei, or NSimSun font type. Then you are ready to input Chinese.

如果你是用win2000或winxp,你可以到control panel/region and language加入中文支持和输入
然后安装E文版的Office2000就行了不需要外挂的中文系统
