Dell has had quite a few interesting desktop PC offers recently, and here comes another one! This is very similar to one that was posted recently, but has different (and in our opinion, very worthwhile) processor upgrade options: a Vostro 220 desktop PC with an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2200, 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, and Vista Basic for $289 or with a Core 2 Duo E8400 processor for $399. You will need to manually select the processors we've mentioned. Here are the specs:

Shipping is free. As noted, the CPU upgrades are worth your attention. The $10 upgrade to a E2200 from the base dual-core Celeron is a must have in our opinion. If you're looking for gaming performance, the E8400 is definitely the CPU you want. $399 is a lowest price we've seen for an E8400 based system. One thing of note is that it comes with a DVD-ROM but in spite of an absent burner, this is a very good value if you ask us.

If you're interested in the Vostro 220s (slim), there's a similar offer: $419 for a Vostro 220s with an E8400 processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, and 16X DVDRW. However, the low and mid-range processor options for this system are not quite as good.
