repair dehumidifier

Thanks everyone read this first.

I bought a dehumidifier two years ago, it works well until recently. It is still running but no water come out.
Normally if house dryer than you set, it won't work, otherwise it will run.

Anyone knows the problem?

When I said "It works as designed" I meant it works just fine and that you don't have to buy a new one.

Set it to lower levels of humidity it will work just fine for you.

When I said "It works as designed" I meant it works just fine and that you don't have to buy a new one.

Set it to lower levels of humidity it will work just fine for you.

My basement has bathroom which people use it everyday. It humidity is about 70-70%. I set to 60% so it is running but no water come out.

1) The fan should work which circle the air.
2) The inside unit should be cold and ***not iced up****.
3) The outside should be little warm.
4) The sensor should work which it would switch on the compressor (not only the fan).
5) There is a protection to shut down it when tank s full, it should function right.

Check all of that. If the compressor is running but inside unit is not cold then the coolant is leaked.

in addition, check if the air filter is clean enough and if there is enough room for air flow.

I thinnk coolant leak because it is not cool when it is running. So how do fix the problem?

difficult . now days It needs a license technician to handle the coolant (by law). You even can't buy the coolant without a license. You have to find the leaky spot, fix it, and refill the coolant. It could be expensive to fix. My guess it could be 200 dollars. Buy a new one should be better choice.

thanks a million. I will buy a new one, but which brand is better? This dehumifier was bought two years ago.

By the way, do you know anyone needs below stuff (pay whatever)?
1. 17" monitor
2. big dining table and 4 chairs(white)
3. single folding bed( from IKEA)
